Vince O'Brien
Director

Vince joined us in 1993 from Coopers & Lybrand and has worked in the private equity industry for over 20 years. A graduate in Modern History and a qualified Chartered Accountant, Vince sits on our Investment Committee and is responsible for fund raising and all aspects of investor relations. He is a former Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association.

Mark Dunfoy
Director

Mark graduated from Cambridge in 1987. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and spent two years in their Corporate Finance department prior to joining us in 1996.

Wiet Stokhuyzen

Wiet joined us in 2006 having spent 6 years working in the buyout team at JPMorgan Partners. Prior to this he spent 4 years working as a strategy consultant at LEK Partnership. Wiet is a History graduate from Durham University and holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD.

Heidi Duckworth

Peter Dahlberg
Director

Peter joined us in 2004 having previously worked at Deutsche Bank in London focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he founded, managed and sold a number of companies in Sweden involved in manufacturing, wholesale and retail. Peter holds a Master of Laws degree and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from Stockholm University.

Robert Burgess
Director

Robert has specific responsibility for UK deal origination and business development. He joined HSBC Investment Bank in 1994 after graduating from Bath, where he gained a degree in Business Administration. He spent time in corporate finance, specialised finance and project finance before joining Montagu in 1999.

Mark Keough
Director*

Mark joined us in 2008. An MIT graduate with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Mark has a broad mix of both consulting and hands-on operational experience, having been a Senior Partner at McKinsey and subsequently participating in a private-equity backed LBO of a leading US electrical distribution business. He then acquired and ran his own group of European IT businesses before joining Montagu.

Dr. Axel Eckhart
Senior Adviser

Axel has been working extensively with Montagu since 2007. Having obtained an MBA from the University of Cologne, his early career was spent at McKinsey where, as a Senior Partner, he worked with a wide range of companies on strategy and operational effectiveness across Europe and the US. He became a co-owner and board member of Elpro AG in the early to mid 1990s, a leading East German industrial group. Following a period as a Senior Partner at Droege, he was recruited by KKR to establish and run Capstone Europe.

Simon Pooler
Director

Simon joined us when the Manchester office was founded in 1995. A graduate in Civil Engineering, Simon joined Montagu following seven years with Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in the Corporate Finance department. Simon is responsible for deal origination and execution in the north of the UK.

Anthony Greensmith

Anthony joined our Manchester office in May 2001 after six years at Ernst & Young, three of which were spent specialising in Private Equity transactions as part of their lead advisory team. He is a Business Studies graduate and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997.

Sylvain Berger-Duquene

Sylvain joined us in 2000 from Astorg Partners where he was involved in arranging leveraged buyouts. He started his career with Crédit Agricole Indosuez in Paris where he spent seven years specialising in acquisition finance. Sylvain is a graduate of ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales).

Guillaume Jabalot
